Mencari Bentuk

Mungkin itu bentuk yg ingin ku tekuni lagi..Stop being as knowledge junkies..

So. mulai dari sederhana seperti ini saja dulu ya.. Let's see gimana ritme rutinitas tiap hari bercumbu dengan naluri hasrat yg terus berteriak...

How does one perform a "cortico-thalamic pause"?

The idea of a "cortico-thalamic pause" springs from General Semantics and was popularized in the Null-A science fiction books by A.E. von Vogt. It has also been called a Semantic Pause or a Cognitive Pause. Thalamus/Thalamic is here used as a shorthand for the lower brain functions, associated with feelings, sensing, pain, pleasure, instincts, bodily functions, etc. Massive sub-conscious parallel processing goes on there and responses are often immediate. Neo-Cortex/Cortical is the shorthand for the higher, more recently developed, brain functions, associated with conscious thinking, reasoning, language use, deliberate decision making, etc. It can do abstract thinking, but can't focus on more than a couple of things at the same time. We easily get in trouble when we mix the two. Our ability to abstract is rather new and apparently a bit faulty. The cortex might construct a "meaning" for some lower level sensations which gives rise to faulty ...

Selamat Menabur, Selamat Menuai

Pernahkah Anda mendengar mitologi Yunani tentang Icarus? Dadan Hindayana. Mari kita putar sedikit rekam jejaknya. Dadan bukanlah tipikal politisi berwajah dingin yang sejak muda kenyang makan asam garam pemerintahan. Ia adalah seorang akademisi tulen, pakar ekologi serangga alias entomolog dari Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB). Ia juga pernah mengabdi sebagai Ketua Sekolah Tinggi Pertanian dan Kewirausahaan (STPK) Banau di Halmahera Utara. Logikanya, sehari-hari beliau sibuk meneliti perilaku serangga agar panen petani terselamatkan. Namun, entah plot twist m...
Competence is More Than Knowing 'How'—It's Understanding 'Why' and 'When' in the Age of AI We have all seen it. The chef trying so hard, using the wrong tool, the wrong technique, and getting more and more frustrated with each attempt. He's trying to do a basic part of his job—igniting a wok—but failing miserably. This isn't just a funny video from a kitchen. It's a powerful metaphor for competence in the modern workplace. In today's landscape, saturated with emerging technologies and AI, we are seeing a shift in the definition of "competence." It's no longer enough to just know how to perform a task. If all you offer is basic, rote competence, your skill will soon be a commodity. AI will do it faster, cheaper, and often better. The true definition of competence has shifted from "knowing the steps" to "understanding the fundamental principles, the nuance, and the 'why' behind the steps." Look at ...
